Wow, isn't it rather early to be giving up? I know he's not got much of a chance to win the thing, but he's not a total fringe candidate either. I would've thought he'd drop out after a disappointing showing in the Iowa Caucus.

That dreamy Obama seems to be crushing B-list candidates in record time.

For the anti-Hilary contingent, this is very good news because it opens up the Iowa caucuses to an alternative to Hilary (e.g. Obama, Edwards) who actually has a chance. Note that the first 4 trials are Iowa, Nevada, New Hampshire and South Carolina. There is an excellent chance that Hilary will lose all 4 of these tests. If one of the other main contenders wins, say, 3 of the 4, that might start a stampede away from Hilary as a sure loser in November.
